What you'll do

• Conduct thorough inspections of materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality standards and specifications.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve quality issues throughout the manufacturing process.

• Utilize various measurement and testing equipment to assess product quality, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address non-conformances and improve overall quality.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols to enhance operational efficiency.
• Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality assurance practices and standards.
• Conduct audits of internal processes and systems to ensure adherence to quality management standards and best practices.
• Support the continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for enhancement and contributing to quality improvement projects.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure that incoming materials meet quality specifications and standards.
• Prepare reports and presentations on quality metrics and trends for management review.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quality assurance methodologies to enhance personal and team performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and standards, such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and specifications.
• Proficient in using measurement tools and equipment for quality inspections.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey quality-related information.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.

Nice to have

• Certification in quality control or quality assurance (e.g., CQI, CQA) is a plus.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools.
