Maybern is founded by top engineering experts with deep knowledge of the fund management space. You will own the end to end sales cycle for enterprise clients within the private funds vertical, acting as the primary strategic advisor to C level stakeholders. You will position Maybern as the critical operating system that brings deterministic guard rails and agentic automation to fund management. You will educate prospects on how modern technology can solve deep operational and compliance challenges in a $15 trillion asset class growing at twenty percent year over year. You will represent Maybern with the discipline of a founder, owning outcomes and relentlessly executing against market expansion goals in the New York territory.

What you'll do
- Orchestrate and own the enterprise sales strategy for the NYC territory focused exclusively on the private funds market segment.
- Conduct discovery driven meetings with prospects, designing qualification sessions that quantify ROI through precise questioning and active listening.
- Synthesize input from internal stakeholders and translate complex requirements into clear value narratives for decision makers.
- Progress and close opportunities within the banking and investment management markets, navigating multi stakeholder buying committees.
- Leverage consultative selling techniques to run full cycle sales engagements from initial cold contact through negotiated close.
- Build and maintain a precise pipeline of opportunities, forecasting revenue and managing deal risk with data driven rigor.
- Partner closely with leadership and cross functional internal teams to ensure seamless execution on enterprise commitments.
- Articulate the unique value of Maybern's agentic operating system and its deterministic guard rails to sophisticated financial audiences.
- Document customer interactions and outcomes to enable continuous improvement of sales playbooks and product positioning.
- Mentor peers on best practices, contributing to the development of a high performance sales foundation.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators, adjusting tactics to consistently exceed quota and drive sustainable growth.
- Champion the adoption of modern SaaS solutions, highlighting advantages over legacy on premise systems in banking and asset management contexts.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or accounting or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrate exposure to and a proficient understanding of the banking or asset management space, or a proven ability to sell into either market.
- Bring experience in selling SaaS products, with fintech or banking experience being highly desirable.
- Possess a minimum of five years' experience running the full sales cycle, from cold call to close, using a consultative approach.
- Show demonstrated knowledge or experience regarding back office banking operations and related processes.
- Have hands on experience with native SaaS solutions and the unique value they provide relative to on premise alternatives.
- Maintain a proven record of exceeding revenue targets, including the achievement of annual multi million dollar sales goals.
- Exhibit superb interpersonal, written, and presentation skills in all professional interactions.
- Operate with flexibility and adaptability, adjusting quickly to shifting priorities and conditions while working effectively with limited direction.
- Thrive in a collaborative environment, managing internal and external stakeholders with clear and consistent communication.
- Remain efficient, producing significant output with minimal wasted effort through a process oriented mindset.
- Display persistence and tenacity, going the distance to close challenging enterprise deals.
- Practice strong organization, planning, scheduling, and budgeting of time and resources to maintain focus on key priorities.

- Native SaaS experience and an understanding of how these solutions differ from on premise systems.
- A background in banking, asset management, or direct exposure to the private funds industry.
- A track record of consistently exceeding annual revenue targets in complex enterprise sales.
Practical notes
The compensation range for this role is $150k-$170k base salary + $150k-$170k commission.
