What you'll do

• Develop and refine tire models using advanced simulation software to predict performance characteristics under various conditions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and testing to ensure alignment on tire specifications and performance goals.
• Conduct detailed analysis of tire behavior through finite element analysis (FEA) and other modeling techniques to optimize tire design.

• Participate in the creation of technical documentation and reports to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance modeling processes and methodologies.

• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on modeling techniques and software tools to foster professional development within the team.
• Contribute to the development of new tire technologies by participating in brainstorming sessions and innovation workshops.
• Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure that tire models meet regulatory and safety standards.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to tire performance and modeling discrepancies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in tire modeling, automotive engineering, or a similar field.
• Proficiency in simulation software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar tools for tire modeling and analysis.
• Strong understanding of tire mechanics, materials, and performance characteristics.
• Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational modeling techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data sets.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to tire safety and performance.
