What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain robust backend services and APIs that cater to various consumer brands within our organization.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Design, and mobile development teams, to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Engage in architectural discussions and planning for scalable, cloud-native systems that can handle high traffic and user demand.
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and overall quality of the platform by conducting thorough testing and code reviews.
• Contribute to the development of mobile features on both Android and iOS platforms as project requirements evolve.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve technical challenges, ensuring smooth project execution.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our development practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge to foster a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, to enhance team productivity and project outcomes.
• Document technical specifications and processes to ensure clarity and maintainability of the codebase.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues to maintain a seamless user experience.
• Engage in performance tuning and optimization of backend services to enhance application responsiveness.

Requirements

• Proven experience in backend development, specifically with C# and the .NET framework.
• Strong skills in designing and utilizing REST APIs and working with JSON data structures.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven systems, particularly using technologies like Kafka.
• Experience with relational database management systems such as SQL Server or Postgres, including expertise in data modeling and query optimization.
• Solid understanding of software design principles, including SOLID principles and clean architecture methodologies.
• Ability to write maintainable and testable code, employing techniques such as dependency injection and unit or integration testing.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude Code, to enhance coding efficiency.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex requirements independently.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Interest in or experience with mobile application development using Kotlin or Swift is a plus.

Nice to have

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in building shared platforms or services that support multiple applications.
• Proven track record of shipping mobile features for Android or iOS platforms.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools like OpenTelemetry or Grafana.
• Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes, for application deployment and management.
• Knowledge of caching mechanisms using Redis to enhance application performance.
