Software Development Engineer III, Logistics API
Job description
About the role
Mapbox is seeking a Software Development Engineer III to join the Directions and Logistics APIs team, where you will own the design and operation of critical routing and optimization services that power navigation for millions of users. You will be responsible for architecting scalable services that handle millions of daily requests while meeting strict latency and reliability requirements. In this role, you will drive the implementation of robust logistics APIs that enable delivery companies to optimize complex workflows. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to translate product requirements into resilient technical solutions. This position requires thoughtful integration of AI into engineering workflows to enhance both development velocity and system quality. You will participate in on-call rotations and take ownership of incident response to ensure continuous system stability. This is an opportunity to shape the future of location-aware logistics on a global scale.
