About the role

Bamboohr is looking for a Swiss German speech recording contributor to join a contract engagement centered on capturing spoken audio in the Schweizer Deutsch dialect. The contributor will record phrases, sentences, and prompts in Swiss German to help build and improve speech technology systems used across the industry. The work requires careful attention to pronunciation, clarity, and consistency across all recorded sessions. What you'll do

• Record spoken Swiss German phrases and sentences following provided scripts and prompts for each recording session
• Capture clear and high-quality audio samples using a computer, smartphone, or designated recording device at home
• Pronounce words and expressions accurately in the Swiss German dialect with attention to regional nuances
• Review each recorded file carefully for audio quality, clarity, and correctness before submitting it for review
• Deliver completed audio files within the agreed timelines for each recording session as scheduled by the team
• Follow specific phonetic and linguistic guidelines provided by the project coordinators to ensure consistency across recordings
• Label and organize recorded files with the required metadata, session identifiers, and any relevant annotation information
• Participate in calibration or test recordings to confirm that audio standards and quality benchmarks are being met
• Maintain consistent tone, pacing, and intonation throughout all recording activities to match the project specifications
• Communicate with project leads promptly to report any technical issues, questions, or concerns about the provided prompts

Requirements

• Native or near-native fluency in Swiss German (Schweizer Deutsch) is essential for accurate and natural recordings
