About the role
Lxt is looking for a native or fluent Irish English speaker to participate in a speech recording project as a contract contributor. This role involves recording spoken audio samples that will be used to train and improve speech recognition and natural language processing systems. The contributor will read prepared prompts and respond to guided instructions during recording sessions, ensuring high-quality audio output that meets the project specifications. Contributors are expected to maintain a professional attitude and adhere to the project timelines communicated by the Lxt team throughout the engagement. What you'll do
Record spoken Irish English audio samples in a quiet, distraction-free environment using provided recording equipment or software.
Read a series of prepared text prompts aloud, following pronunciation and pacing guidelines provided by the project team.
Respond to guided prompts and conversational prompts designed to capture natural speech patterns and intonation.
Review your own recordings for clarity, accuracy, and completeness before submitting them to the project lead.
Follow detailed recording instructions and scripts to ensure consistency across all audio samples collected.
Participate in multiple recording sessions over the course of the contract period as scheduled.
Communicate with the project coordination team to report any technical issues or concerns with the recording setup.
Maintain a reliable schedule and meet agreed-upon recording targets within the timelines set by Lxt.
Ensure that all recorded content adheres to the data privacy and confidentiality guidelines outlined by the company.
Provide feedback on the recording process and prompt materials when requested by the project managers.
Coordinate with the project team to clarify any ambiguities in prompt materials or recording instructions before proceeding.
Store and organize recorded files according to the naming conventions and folder structures specified by the project guidelines.
Requirements
Native or near-native fluency in Irish English with accurate pronunciation and natural intonation patterns.
A quiet, private recording space free from background noise, echo, and external disturbances.
Access to a computer or mobile device capable of running the required recording application or software.
A reliable internet connection sufficient for uploading audio files to the project platform.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely and consistently across multiple sessions.
Comfortable working independently without direct supervision, managing your own recording schedule and workflow.
Willingness to commit to the full duration of the contract and complete all assigned recording tasks.
Basic familiarity with audio recording tools or a willingness to learn the provided software quickly.
Must be at least 18 years of age or the legal working age in your country of residence.
