About the role
Lucid Motors is seeking a Global Sourcing and Procurement Specialist to manage service categories including Marketing, Sales, Brand, PR, Communications, Fleet, and Service. You will join the Indirect Procurement team to improve operational efficiency, handle end-to-end procurement cycles, and contribute to the transformation of internal systems and processes. In this capacity, you will act as a strategic partner to key business units, ensuring that all indirect expenditures are managed with a high degree of professionalism and rigor. The role requires a proactive mindset and a commitment to driving value across the entire procurement function. You will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external vendors. Success in this position will be measured by your ability to streamline operations and deliver measurable financial and efficiency outcomes. You will play a critical role in supporting the company's growth by ensuring that services are procured effectively and in alignment with corporate objectives.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Oversee the complete procure-to-pay lifecycle, encompassing intake, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, contract routing, and invoice alignment.
- Act as the central procurement liaison for stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, Brand, and Fleet to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Spearhead sourcing and contracting initiatives for low-to-mid complexity engagements, typically valued under $100k.
- Partner with Legal, Finance, and Accounts Payable to uphold process compliance and guarantee transactional accuracy.
- Formulate category strategies, conduct comprehensive market research, and execute supplier performance management tasks.
- Scrutinize spend data to uncover trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and assess potential risks.
- Construct visual dashboards and detailed reports to articulate procurement status and provide financial insights.
- Engage in projects aimed at modernizing procurement tools, systems, and workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable procurement plans.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate terms to secure favorable agreements that meet business needs.
- Monitor supplier interactions to ensure service levels are met and relationships are maintained.
- Implement process improvements that reduce cycle times and enhance the accuracy of procurement activities.
- Utilize data analytics to forecast spend and support budget planning initiatives.
- Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on procurement policies and best practices.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
- Possess 3-4 years of experience in Indirect Procurement.
- Demonstrate practical knowledge of Sourcing-to-Contract (S2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) workflows.
- Show a clear understanding of the PR to PO to Invoice lifecycle.
- Have experience in developing and executing category strategies.
- Exhibit strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Nice to have
- Experience with Coupa or SAP.
- Background in supporting service categories such as marketing agencies or professional services.
Practical notes
Hybrid schedule requiring 4 days onsite in Phoenix, AZ, and 1 day remote work.
