Marketing Strategy & Operations Lead
Job description
About the role
Lovable is looking for a Marketing Strategy & Operations Lead to serve as the strategic right hand to the CMO and the senior operator for a global marketing organization. In this role you will design and own the planning infrastructure, AI-native systems, and strategic programs that empower a world-class marketing team to move quickly and make decisions with confidence. Lovable is a platform that lets anyone build software using any language, serving millions of users from solo creators to Fortune 100 teams. The company is headquartered in Stockholm and operates with a small, talent-dense team that values extreme ownership, high velocity, and low-ego collaboration. You will help shape how a globally distributed marketing org plans, executes, and measures its work across offices in San Francisco and Stockholm.
Key facts
What you'll do
Partner with the CMO, marketing leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to turn high-level strategy into clear plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes for the marketing organization. Own the end-to-end planning infrastructure for the marketing org, including quarterly and annual planning cycles, goal-setting frameworks, milestone tracking, and resource alignment across teams. Design and maintain a reporting layer that gives the CMO and marketing leadership real-time visibility into what is on track, what is at risk, and where to focus attention next. Build and drive AI-native systems and processes that manage marketing workflows at scale, integrating artificial intelligence into daily operations. Create clarity and consistency across a globally distributed team spanning locations from San Francisco to Stockholm. Lead high-priority, ad-hoc business initiatives that do not have an obvious home within existing team structures. Establish rhythms and processes that globally distributed teams rely on as they scale, ensuring smooth cross-functional collaboration. Translate complex strategic priorities into actionable workstreams with clear owners, timelines, and success metrics. Collaborate closely with the marketing leadership team to identify gaps in execution and propose operational improvements. Support the development of a planning culture rooted in data, transparency, and accountability across the entire marketing function.
Requirements
10 or more years of experience in marketing, strategy, or management consulting with a meaningful portion spent in operational roles at high-growth technology companies. A proven track record of building operational infrastructure from the ground up, including the systems, rhythms, and processes that distributed teams depend on as they scale. Deep experience running planning cycles at the company or function level, with hands-on ownership of OKRs, resource plans, and roadmaps. Demonstrated experience supporting globally distributed teams across multiple time zones and locations. Daily, hands-on use of artificial intelligence tools and a track record of implementing AI-driven workflows in a professional setting. Strong ability to partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to translate vision into executable plans. Experience designing reporting and visibility systems that provide real-time insight into marketing performance and risk. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, which is the company language.
Nice to have
Experience working in or with enterprise-level organizations where marketing operations directly support revenue and growth goals. Familiarity with building planning and execution frameworks specifically for AI-native products or platforms. Background in helping marketing teams adopt new technologies and workflows, particularly around automation and data-driven decision-making. Exposure to the software development or no-code/low-code space, understanding how these products are built and marketed.
Skills & tools
Proficiency with planning and project management tools such as Asana, Notion, or similar platforms used for goal tracking and roadmap management. Experience with data visualization and reporting tools like Tableau, Looker, or Google Data Studio to build real-time dashboards. Familiarity with AI tools and platforms used to automate marketing workflows, including content generation, campaign orchestration, and analytics. Strong skills in spreadsheet modeling and data analysis using Excel or Google Sheets for resource planning and forecasting. Comfort with collaboration platforms such as Slack, Zoom, and other tools used by globally distributed teams. Ability to work with CRM systems and marketing automation platforms to understand the full funnel from planning to execution.
Practical notes
All applications must be submitted in English, as it is the company language and will be used extensively in day-to-day communication. Lovable treats all candidates equally and encourages interested individuals to apply through the company careers portal. The role is based in New York and is a full-time position, not a remote or hybrid arrangement. Candidates should expect to collaborate closely with a globally distributed team that includes colleagues in San Francisco and Stockholm. The hiring process will evaluate both strategic thinking capabilities and hands-on operational execution skills.
