What you'll do

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.
• Conduct thorough analyses and simulations to validate designs and identify potential issues early in the development process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and production staff, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
• Create detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports, to support project milestones and compliance requirements.
• Participate in prototype development and testing, collecting data to assess performance and reliability under various conditions.
• Implement design improvements based on feedback from testing and field data to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that engineering tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering to drive innovation within the team.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly teams, troubleshooting issues and recommending solutions to optimize production processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns, sharing knowledge and expertise to foster their professional growth and development.
• Prepare and present technical presentations to stakeholders, effectively communicating complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations throughout the design and manufacturing processes, prioritizing the well-being of team members and end-users.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or product development environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) for creating detailed 3D models and technical drawings.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to mechanical engineering and product safety.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing high-quality work and meeting project deadlines.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining focus on priorities.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
• Knowledge of materials science and experience with material selection for various applications.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, or additive manufacturing.
• Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT).

Skills & tools

• Experience with FEA and CFD software
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and thermodynamics
