What you'll do

• Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure project success and team development.
• Oversee the design, development, and testing of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and project management, to deliver integrated solutions that meet client specifications.
• Develop project timelines and budgets, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within financial constraints.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations of team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with electrical engineering projects, implementing effective solutions to address challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles, codes, and standards, including NEC and IEC.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
• Proficient in using engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar applications.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
• Experience in budget management and project scheduling.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Experience in renewable energy systems or smart grid technologies.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in electrical engineering.
• Previous experience in a consulting environment.
• Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
