What you'll do

• Lead and manage electrical construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth operations and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce safety protocols, and ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, adjusting as necessary to accommodate changes or unforeseen challenges.
• Train and mentor junior staff and subcontractors, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement on-site.
• Review and approve project plans, specifications, and change orders, ensuring all work aligns with client expectations and industry standards.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports to upper management, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and solutions.
• Manage project resources effectively, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize productivity and minimize costs.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and expectations, providing exceptional customer service throughout the project.
• Ensure all safety regulations and company policies are strictly followed, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings to discuss project scope, timelines, and expectations with all stakeholders involved.
• Utilize project management software and tools to track project progress and maintain accurate documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction or a related field, with a proven track record in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge in real-world scenarios.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse workforce.
• Proficient in project management software and tools, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
• Ability to travel frequently and work on-site at various project locations, adapting to different environments and conditions.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the capacity to make quick decisions under pressure.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to obtain any necessary certifications or licenses for the role.

Nice to have

• Experience with renewable energy projects, such as solar or wind, is a plus.
• Familiarity with advanced project management methodologies, such as Agile or Lean.
• Previous experience in a traveling role or managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera).
• Strong understanding of AutoCAD and electrical design software is advantageous.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
