About the role
You will oversee the Utah Lending Manager license and ensure it remains in good standing with regulatory requirements. You are responsible for completing the required annual Continuing Education to maintain your professional credentials. You will maintain consistent communication with the legal department regarding licensing status and compliance matters. This role requires you to act as a liaison between state regulatory expectations and our internal legal framework. You will verify that all activities align with the stipulations of the business licensing function. You must uphold the highest standards of integrity in managing lending operations. Your work will directly support the company's compliance excellence and operational stability.

What you'll do
Coordinate the maintenance and renewal processes for the Utah Lending Manager license.
Track Continuing Education deadlines and confirm completion of all required coursework within mandated timelines.
Establish clear communication channels with the legal department to address licensing inquiries and updates.
Monitor regulatory changes that could impact the status of the Utah lending authorization.
Verify that all lending activities adhere to the operational boundaries of the business license.
Document all interactions and decisions related to license management for audit and compliance purposes.
Support the enforcement of financial responsibility standards across the lending team.
Assist in the interpretation of legal requirements as they apply to the Utah lending operations.
Identify potential risks in license management and propose corrective actions to mitigate them.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of licensing obligations.
Provide timely responses to regulatory or internal requests for licensing documentation.
Champion the integrity of the lending process by ensuring all activities remain within legal parameters.
Serve as a point of contact for inquiries regarding the status and validity of the Utah license.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of compliance procedures related to lending management.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
The applicant has never had a loan originator license revoked in any governmental jurisdiction.
Must not have been convicted of, or pled guilty or nolo contendere to, a felony in a domestic, foreign, or military court.
During the 7-year period preceding the date of the application for licensing and registration.
At any time preceding such date of application, if such felony involved an act of fraud, dishonesty, or a breach of trust, or money laundering.
Must demonstrate financial responsibility, character, and general fitness to determine that the loan originator will operate honestly, fairly, and efficiently within the purposes of this title.
Holds an active Mortgage Loan Originator license.
Within the past 5 years, must have at least 3 years active full time licensed lending experience and a minimum of 45 first lien residential mortgages.
Practical notes
Open to remote candidates; however, occasional travel to Charlotte may be required.
