What you'll do
- Lead the development and implementation of the filing platform and automation initiatives, overseeing all stages from initial planning to launch, while collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams.
- Conduct ongoing evaluations of filing workflows and regulatory requirements to identify opportunities for AI integration, automation, and enhancements in operational efficiency.
- Advocate for the integration of new tools and processes within the insurance department, effectively communicating the benefits of platform capabilities to various stakeholders.
- Build and manage the Insurance Operations platform team, which will take ownership of filing tools and focus on scaling operations while promoting a culture of experimentation, compliance, and impactful operations.
- Establish and uphold rigorous standards for filing quality, speed, and compliance, ensuring that automated solutions are effective within a regulated environment.
- Create the operational framework, governance structures, and feedback systems that empower the platform team to work swiftly and accurately.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines, facilitating smooth communication between technical and operational teams.
- Analyze data to derive actionable insights that will guide decision-making for platform enhancements and operational strategies.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and innovation.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure that the team's practices remain forward-thinking and compliant.
- Engage with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies to maintain strong relationships and ensure alignment with industry standards.

Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience within the insurance sector, specifically in areas related to filings, regulatory operations, or compliance.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial role, demonstrating the ability to lead technically skilled team members and achieve desired results.
- Proven track record in automation and process optimization is essential.
- Experience in transforming manual or inefficient workflows into technology-driven processes that improve speed, accuracy, and cost-efficiency.
- Familiarity with large language models such as Claude or ChatGPT, including skills in prompt creation, logic definition, and leveraging AI for productivity gains.
- Excellent project management and communication abilities, with a knack for driving progress through collaboration and maintaining focus amid changing priorities.
- Strong analytical capabilities, allowing for independent insight generation that informs platform-related decisions.
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to create structure and drive results in uncertain environments.

- Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment would be beneficial.
