Consumer AI Lifecycle Product and Marketing Leader
Job description
Consumer AI Lifecycle Product and Marketing Leader at Legion Health.
About the role
You will architect and own the end-to-end lifecycle strategy for Legion Health's AI-native patient ecosystem, defining the vision, roadmap, and execution plan for how the platform engages patients across their entire care journey. You will leverage rich patient data and production AI to design a deeply personalized communication engine that proactively supports patients from first contact through long-term retention and reactivation. This role requires you to translate complex clinical workflows and business objectives into coherent patient states, triggers, and next-best-action logic that make the platform feel responsive and intelligent. You will partner closely with product, engineering, data, operations, and clinical teams to build, test, and refine automated journeys that scale while maintaining a human-centered, clinically informed experience. You will own the full lifecycle funnel, optimizing for activation, booking, visit completion, adherence, renewal support, retention, and winback using data-driven experimentation and continuous improvement. In this founding systems-builder role, you will shape the core patient engagement infrastructure that defines Legion's differentiated approach to AI-driven care delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring that every patient interaction is timely, relevant, and aligned with clinical best practices and operational constraints.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Build and own the AI-native lifecycle engine that orchestrates patient communication and engagement across activation, booking, visit completion, follow-up adherence, medication renewal support, retention, reactivation, and winback.
- Design the end-to-end patient communication system spanning email, SMS, push notifications, in-app messages, transactional reminders, AI-assisted outreach, and future owned channels.
- Map the full patient journey into clearly defined lifecycle states, triggers, audiences, suppressions, escalation rules, personalization rules, and next-best-action logic.
- Use Legion's patient data, production AI, clinical workflows, scheduling events, insurance data, intake behavior, appointment history, medication renewal patterns, and care operations to drive segmentation and targeting.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for lifecycle states, event schemas, data requirements, and journey logic to align cross-functional teams.
- Implement and QA CRM logic, event tracking, and data pipelines to ensure accurate and reliable execution of patient journeys.
- Launch and run controlled experiments across lifecycle journeys to improve activation, completion, adherence, renewal, and retention metrics.
- Partner with product, engineering, data, operations, and clinical teams to integrate new features, data sources, and AI capabilities into the communication engine.
- Develop copy, messaging frameworks, and content templates that reflect Legion's clinical expertise, brand voice, and patient-centered values.
- Monitor journey performance, identify bottlenecks, and iterate on flows based on qualitative and quantitative insights from patient behavior and feedback.
Requirements
You must have 6 or more years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, retention, or owned-channel growth roles, including at least 3 years owning end-to-end lifecycle strategy and execution. You must have a proven track record of building and scaling lifecycle and CRM programs in fast-growth, data-driven environments. You must be comfortable working with complex datasets, event-driven systems, and production AI tools to design and validate patient communication flows. You must have strong clinical empathy and an understanding of how healthcare delivery, insurance, and medication adherence constraints impact patient behavior. You must be able to translate ambiguous problems into clear lifecycle designs, state machines, and journey logic while collaborating closely with clinical and technical stakeholders. You must have experience working in a regulated, high-stakes environment where accuracy, compliance, and privacy considerations are critical. You must be comfortable wearing multiple hats and taking ownership of a foundational system with limited precedent and evolving requirements. You must be fluent in both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, balancing long-term roadmap vision with short-term optimization and debugging.
Nice to have
Experience building lifecycle and CRM systems for digital health, telemedicine, mental health, or AI-driven care platforms. Background in healthcare operations, clinical workflows, or medical policy is a plus. Familiarity with AI-assisted content generation, personalization, and automated outreach systems. Experience with behavioral science, nudges, and retention mechanics in consumer apps. Demonstrated ability to work quickly in ambiguous environments and ship iteratively while maintaining quality and compliance.
