About the role
You will architect and implement the AI and automation systems that directly power employer specialty pharmacy operations at Leap. This role owns the translation of complex clinical and business requirements into reliable software that executes in production. You will collaborate tightly with Clinical Operations, Business Operations, and leadership to define, refine, and ship high-impact features. Your work will focus on replacing manual, error-prone workflows with intelligent LLM agents and robust automation pipelines. You will be responsible for ensuring that these systems perform reliably and securely while handling sensitive operational data. Clear communication will be as important as your technical implementation decisions in this environment. You will spend significant time on planning, code review, and debugging, ensuring that your solutions hold up without constant redesign.

What you'll do
Replace manual operational workflows by building LLM agents and automation pipelines, reducing process friction for clinical and business operations.
Implement full-stack features using a TypeScript-native approach, ensuring consistency across frontend, backend, data, and infrastructure layers.
Leverage AI heavily in personal development workflows to design and build systems that are scalable, observable, and maintainable in production.
Contribute to systems that integrate with data pipelines in BigQuery, ETL processes, and CRM platforms such as Salesforce and HubSpot to reduce compliance risk.
Enable scalable data flows that support employer specialty pharmacy operations while maintaining a high standard of security and reliability.
Work as an early employee, a solo tech lead, or a founder by taking initiative and shipping features without a detailed roadmap or extensive guidance.
Demonstrate the ability to write, review, and debug code while producing documentation, UI components, and infrastructure that remain robust over time.
Collaborate with Clinical Operations and Business Operations teams to translate ambiguous requirements into concrete technical solutions.
Own the full lifecycle of feature development, from initial design through deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvement.
Use rapid prototyping and AI-assisted development to validate ideas quickly and iterate toward production-ready solutions.
Requirements
Apply as a TypeScript-native, full-stack generalist comfortable across frontend, backend, data, and infrastructure with a track record of shipping fast with high quality.
Bring evidence of high-quality work through code, UI, and documentation that remains reliable without a dedicated designer or QA team.
Possess 1+ years of experience building AI systems in production, including LLM integrations and agents, to ensure readiness for real-world deployment.
Show the ability to operate independently as an early employee, a solo tech lead, or a founder who can navigate ambiguity and drive progress.
Prefer candidates with healthcare or HIPAA experience to help reduce compliance risk in sensitive environments.
Value experience with data pipelines in BigQuery, ETL processes, and CRM integrations using Salesforce and HubSpot to enable scalable data flows.
Bring strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to break down unfamiliar problems, focusing on approach and clarity of thought.
