What you'll do
- Conduct in-depth risk evaluations for complex fintech partner programs, managing deadlines and competing analytical demands.
- Support the enterprise risk management framework for fintech partners by monitoring and analyzing significant risk concerns, such as third-party relationships, model risks, and operational continuity.
- Provide expert review and challenge to risk assessments performed by internal teams, ensuring alignment with established methodologies and regulatory standards.
- Analyze the risk profiles of fourth-party vendors and maintain a comprehensive register of these relationships.
- Act as a primary point of contact for fintech partners' risk and compliance programs, assessing their effectiveness and collaborating on necessary improvements.
- Track, analyze, and report on key risk indicators, synthesizing data into clear summaries for leadership.
- Manage and deliver multiple high-priority risk initiatives concurrently, coordinating with various internal and external parties.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal departments and risk contacts at our fintech clients.
- Monitor regulatory landscapes to identify potential impacts on fintech partnerships and advise on compliance implications.
- Develop and maintain detailed risk documentation, ensuring clarity and accessibility for stakeholders.
- Perform scenario analysis and stress testing on fintech product offerings to evaluate potential risk exposure.
- Collaborate with legal and product teams to ensure risk considerations are integrated into product development cycles.
- Utilize advanced data querying techniques to extract insights from large datasets for risk assessment purposes.
- Prepare board-level reports that succinctly summarize key risks and mitigation strategies for fintech initiatives.
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or internal audit, with a focus on third-party risk management, risk and control self-assessments, or risk reporting.
- Demonstrated experience within the Fintech, Payments, or Banking-as-a-Service sectors, including areas like card issuance, ACH processing, or loan origination.
- Familiarity with banking regulations and supervisory guidelines pertinent to third-party risk and partnerships between banks and fintech companies.
- A solid understanding of the risk management lifecycle, including identifying risks, designing controls, testing their effectiveness, and developing scalable risk metrics.
- Proficiency in using data to create risk dashboards and analyze performance metrics.
- Strong self-motivation, organization, and the ability to manage priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to provide constructive challenge and explain complex risk concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to dissect complex and ambiguous risk issues, creating structured plans for resolution.
- Comfort in using AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, coupled with strong critical evaluation skills to ensure the accuracy and quality of all outputs.
