What you'll do

• Lead and manage all aspects of plant operations, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
• Develop and implement production schedules, monitoring progress to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain, to optimize production processes.
• Conduct regular assessments of plant performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards, fostering a culture of safety within the team.
• Manage and mentor plant staff, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
• Oversee inventory management, ensuring that materials are available for production while minimizing excess stock.
• Analyze production data and metrics to identify trends and make informed decisions that drive efficiency and productivity.
• Develop and manage the plant budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet operational goals.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair activities to minimize downtime and ensure that equipment is operating at peak performance.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and employee engagement.
• Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on plant performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
• Proven track record of leading teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Proficient in using manufacturing software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or holidays as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and data analytics tools.
• Previous experience in the construction materials industry or a related field.
• Certification in safety management or quality assurance.
• Multilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish or French, are a plus.
