What you'll do

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking service, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed promptly.
• Accurately document service requests and customer information in our management system to maintain clear communication and records.
• Prepare detailed service estimates for customers, including parts, labor, and any additional costs, ensuring transparency and clarity.
• Coordinate with technicians to schedule service appointments and ensure timely completion of work.
• Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or questions they may have.
• Maintain a clean and organized service area, contributing to a professional environment that reflects our commitment to quality.
• Assist in managing inventory levels of parts and supplies, ensuring that necessary items are available for service operations.
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling additional services or products that may benefit the customer.
• Provide training and support to new team members, sharing best practices and insights to enhance overall team performance.
• Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge to provide informed recommendations to customers.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively, ensuring a positive experience and fostering customer loyalty.
• Generate reports on service activities and customer feedback to help improve processes and service delivery.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in the automotive or equipment service industry.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical customers.
• Proficiency in using service management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation and estimates.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of customer service.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record, as some customer interactions may require travel.

Nice to have

• Experience in a service writing or service advisor role within the automotive or heavy equipment sectors.
• Knowledge of automotive or equipment parts and service processes, enhancing your ability to assist customers effectively.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and their application in managing customer relationships.
• Bilingual abilities, particularly in English and French, to better serve a diverse customer base.
• Certification or training in customer service or related fields, demonstrating a commitment to professional development.
