What you'll do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking service, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed promptly.
- Accurately document service requests and customer information in our management system to maintain clear communication and records.
- Prepare detailed service estimates for customers, including parts, labor, and any additional costs, ensuring transparency and clarity.
- Coordinate with technicians to schedule service appointments and ensure timely completion of work.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or questions they may have.
- Maintain a clean and organized service area, contributing to a professional environment that reflects our commitment to quality.
- Assist in managing inventory levels of parts and supplies, ensuring that necessary items are available for service operations.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling additional services or products that may benefit the customer.
- Provide training and support to new team members, sharing best practices and insights to enhance overall team performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge to provide informed recommendations to customers.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively, ensuring a positive experience and fostering customer loyalty.
- Generate reports on service activities and customer feedback to help improve processes and service delivery.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in the automotive or equipment service industry.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical customers.
- Proficiency in using service management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation and estimates.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record, as some customer interactions may require travel.
Nice to have
- Experience in a service writing or service advisor role within the automotive or heavy equipment sectors.
- Knowledge of automotive or equipment parts and service processes, enhancing your ability to assist customers effectively.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and their application in managing customer relationships.
