About the role
You will serve as the segment owner for Real-World Evidence (RWE) and Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) within our Life Sciences division. This role is centered on owning the end-to-end strategy for a high-impact segment, defining the product vision that addresses critical gaps in the healthcare market. You will be responsible for managing the full P&L strategy associated with your segment, ensuring financial discipline aligns with aggressive growth targets. A core part of your ownership involves building solutions that translate complex data into actionable insights for customers. You will leverage advanced methodologies to solve some of the most pressing challenges in healthcare decision-making. Collaboration will be central as you work closely with Engineering and Commercial teams to bring ideas to life. Ultimately, you will define the market position of the RWE/HEOR portfolio and ensure its long-term relevance and profitability.

What you'll do
- Define and execute the RWE/HEOR segment strategy to drive growth, retention, and market penetration across key therapeutic areas.
- Prototype new product concepts using AI and low-code tools, iterating rapidly based on user feedback and market signals.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of the product portfolio and competitive landscape to identify whitespace opportunities.
- Lead market entry for new solutions, including initial value proposition development and early customer implementation support.
- Represent Komodo as a subject matter expert at industry events and during high-value sales negotiations with C-suite stakeholders.
- Deliver 3-5 live revenue-generating solutions within your first year, demonstrating clear impact on customer outcomes.
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to uncover insights that inform strategic roadmap decisions.
- Partner with Sales to develop tools and content that enable teams to win complex enterprise deals.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the success of product initiatives and adjust course as necessary.
- Collaborate with Engineering to translate technical constraints into clear product requirements.
- Mentor junior analysts and product managers by sharing best practices and domain knowledge.
- Maintain a deep pipeline of ideas through continuous market scanning and customer discovery.
- Balance short-term revenue goals with long-term strategic bets to ensure sustainable growth.
- Act as the primary liaison between the commercial organization and the product development team.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in RWE/HEOR, either within life sciences, as a consultant, or at a healthcare data/analytics firm.
- Deep expertise in RWE/HEOR workflows, including buyer/user personas and competitive market dynamics across multiple segments.
- Proven ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into evidence-based strategies that inform executive decision-making.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex narratives to executive stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to drive alignment and execution.
- Demonstrated curiosity and comfort using AI coding or coworking tools to build prototypes or workflows that accelerate development.
- A history of managing P&L responsibilities or owning revenue performance for a product line or portfolio.
- Willingness to travel domestically for key customer meetings, industry conferences, and prospecting activities as needed.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in product management or a track record of shipping software products that achieved market fit.
- Background in consulting or advisory roles where you advised life sciences clients on strategic initiatives.
- Familiarity with regulatory and reimbursement environments that impact RWE/HEOR adoption.
- Experience working with diverse data sources, including claims, EHR, and patient-generated data.
- Knowledge of healthcare analytics platforms and data visualization tools used in commercial environments.
