What you'll do
- Execute full-cycle recruitment for LATAM engineering, managing every stage from initial requisition to offer negotiation and onboarding.
- Establish a sustainable outbound pipeline by proactively sourcing and engaging high-potential engineers across LATAM, focusing on passive candidate strategies.
- Partner directly with engineering leadership to deeply understand role requirements and build a consistent, high-bar assessment framework.
- Elevate Kojo's talent brand by articulating our mission and value proposition to top-tier technical professionals in a crowded market.
- Leverage AI-native tools such as Claude, Granola, Ashby, and LinkedIn Recruiter's AI features to enhance sourcing efficiency and pipeline management.
- Maintain meticulous and trustworthy records within Ashby, ensuring the talent database is a reliable resource for the entire organization.
- Analyze talent market trends to identify high-density engineering teams and anticipate shifts in candidate availability and compensation expectations.
- Coach hiring managers on effective passive sourcing techniques and strategies to engage senior-level engineers who are not actively seeking new opportunities.
- Drive the interview process with precision, ensuring panels are equipped to make confident decisions without unnecessary delay.
- Represent Kojo's technical recruiting function with such credibility that engineering teams begin requesting specific recruiters by name for critical searches.
Requirements
- You possess 3+ years of full-cycle or coordination recruiting experience, demonstrating a history of closing technically complex roles.
- You have a proven track record of exceptional ownership and agency, navigating ambiguity and driving initiatives to completion without constant supervision.
- You hold a keen eye for identifying top technical talent, assessing both demonstrated skills and potential for future growth.
- You have established credibility in outbound sourcing, with fluency in core tools like LinkedIn Recruiter or comparable platforms.
- You understand the nuances of the LATAM engineering market, including compensation benchmarks and the dynamics of recent industry layoffs.
- You are technically fluent enough to comprehend the roles you are recruiting for, enabling you to have credible conversations with engineering leadership.
- You have a history of building trust with hiring teams, evidenced by them advocating for you when engaging passive candidates.
- You are meticulous and organized, ensuring that our talent data in systems like Ashby is accurate, accessible, and actionable for all stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Prior experience building an outbound engine for LATAM engineering hires, particularly in a senior-heavy context with limited inbound volume.
- A demonstrated ability to close competitive offers against well-funded competitors in the technology sector.
- Established relationships and trust within the Mexico City engineering community.
Practical notes
This role is full-time and based in Mexico City. It requires significant travel within the region for talent acquisition activities. Candidates must be eligible to work in Mexico without sponsorship. We are looking for immediate start for the right candidate.
