About the role
The role involves owning the initial and ongoing store allocations to guarantee the optimal distribution of inventory across all available channels. You will execute allocation strategies that directly support seasonal launches, the introduction of new products, and overall in-season performance. A core responsibility is to balance inventory levels across physical stores, distribution centers located in Canada and the United States, and various sales channels such as e-commerce, Amazon, and wholesale partners. You will monitor sales performance, sell-through rates, and current inventory levels to make timely recommendations for reallocation and store transfers. Collaboration with Merchandising, Planning, and Replenishment teams is essential to ensure allocations align perfectly with the assortment plan and demand forecasts. The position requires identifying opportunities to improve in-stock performance, reduce excess inventory, and optimize the distribution of size groups and SKUs. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of allocation systems, tools, and reporting to ensure accuracy, speed, and consistency in all processes. Finally, you will provide clear reporting and insightful analysis regarding inventory movement, store performance, and the overall effectiveness of allocation strategies.

- Provide clear reporting and insights on inventory movement, store performance, and allocation effectiveness.
- Analyze historical sales data and trends to guide future allocation decisions and strategy adjustments.
- Act as the primary point of contact for inventory-related queries from store operations and logistics teams.
- Drive process improvements to streamline the allocation workflow and enhance overall efficiency.
- Utilize inventory optimization techniques to maximize sales potential and minimize lost opportunities.
- Evaluate the impact of promotional activities and marketing campaigns on inventory levels and adjust allocations accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and inventory control procedures in all allocation activities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail allocation, merchandising, planning, or inventory management is mandatory for this position.
- A strong understanding of retail math and key performance metrics such as sell-through, in-stock rates, weeks of supply, inventory turn, and gross margin is required.
- Advanced Excel skills are essential; experience with dedicated allocation or inventory management systems is considered a strong asset.
- Strong analytical skills must be demonstrated with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary to work effectively across cross-functional teams and departments.
- You must be highly organized with strong attention to detail and the proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Comfort with fast-paced, high-growth, and constantly evolving retail environments is a necessary condition for success in this role.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high standard of accuracy is required.
