You will focus on proactive outreach to build a pipeline of new business opportunities while developing your skills for a future career in sales. In this position, you will own the initial point of contact for prospective merchants, guiding them from first interaction to qualified opportunity. What you'll do
- Research and identify prospective ecommerce brands to initiate new relationships using targeted databases and intent signals.
- Execute cold outreach strategies across phone, email, and social channels to build awareness and generate interest.
- Qualify leads and transition them to Account Executives with clear documentation of needs, timelines, and stakeholder maps.
- Use AI tools to optimize daily workflows and improve outreach efficiency, reducing manual effort and increasing relevance.
- Maintain consistent activity levels and meet performance goals by tracking key metrics and adjusting tactics accordingly.
- Collaborate with the broader APAC team to refine sales processes, share feedback, and implement best practices.
- Conduct discovery conversations to uncover pain points, current stack, and decision-making processes for high intent prospects.
- Manage your pipeline using CRM navigation best practices to ensure accurate forecasting and visibility.
- Develop a deep understanding of Klaviyo's value proposition so you can articulate how the platform drives growth for merchants.
- Represent the Klaviyo brand with professionalism, ensuring every interaction reflects the standards of the APAC Sales organization.
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing customer segments to support long term account growth strategies.
- Track and report on outreach performance to iterate on messaging, timing, and channel mix for continuous improvement.
- Partner with marketing and product teams to provide frontline insights that influence positioning and feature development.
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity by testing new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to stay ahead in the sales landscape.
Requirements
- Valid authorization to work in Australia, holding the necessary rights and permissions to be employed in this role.
- Ambition to grow into an Account Executive or similar sales leadership role, with a clear desire to advance your career.
- Strong communication skills, including comfort with phone based outreach and written messaging across digital channels.
- High levels of grit, resilience, and curiosity to navigate rejection and persist in the face of complex buying cycles.
- Experience or active experimentation with AI tools in professional or personal projects to enhance productivity and decision making.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for onboarding, team meetings, or industry events to build relationships in person.
