Job description
This role is responsible for daily field execution on commercial construction projects. You will guide crews and partners, translating plans into action while upholding safety and quality throughout every project phase. The position requires hands-on leadership, mentorship, and consistent progress toward project goals.

Key Facts
The position is based in Atlanta, Georgia. It is a full-time engagement. The compensation range is $95,000 to $120,000 annually.
What You'll Do
You will set the pace for crews on active construction sites, ensuring HVAC installations stay on schedule and safe. You will act as the link between the Project Manager and subcontractors, keeping information clear and decisions timely. Arranging subcontractor workflows and material timing will be essential, with a focus on resolving clashes before they impact the critical path. You will demonstrate installation methods directly with crews, supporting them to maintain momentum and quality. Tracking labor, materials, and equipment will help you adjust plans without sacrificing safety or standards. Enforcing safety rules and identifying risks early will be a priority, along with driving corrective actions when needed. You will report progress during project meetings, highlighting metrics, issues, and necessary adjustments to keep stakeholders aligned. Coaching field staff on best practices and ownership will foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. You will provide regular updates to the Project Superintendent and Project Manager regarding status, dependencies, and changes affecting sequencing or delivery.
What You'll Bring
A high school diploma or GED is required, along with trade school education or field experience that demonstrates HVAC knowledge. You will bring a minimum of 10 years of commercial HVAC installation experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role. Physical capability includes lifting up to 50 pounds, navigating stairs and ladders, and standing for extended periods while remaining focused.

Kelso Industries builds scientific research vessels for government marine operations. The company name honors the late Dr John Kelso, a scientist with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans. This background is reflected in the design of vessels built to support fisheries research and water quality work. The lead vessel is a "Near Shore Fisheries Research Vessel" used for trawls, box core sampling, bottom sampling, and water quality sampling. It was commissioned in 2009 and built by ABCO Industries Lunenburg Shipyard. The vessel was ordered by the Canadian Coast Guard to replace the retiring CCGS Shark and operates from CGS Base Burlington in the Central and Arctic Region. The ship has a maximum speed near 16 knots and a cruising speed near 14 knots. Fuel capacity is about 2,848 litres, with additional water storage of 500 litres. Accommodation includes seating for ten passengers and a crew of three. This configuration supports day trips and focused research campaigns in coastal and nearshore waters.
