The Senior Electrical Project Manager position, referred to here as APG Sr. Project Manager, is located in Clearwater, Florida. This role is responsible for large-scale electrical projects valued at fifty million dollars and above. The position requires ownership of project lifecycles, including preconstruction, planning, execution, commissioning, and closeout. The manager will guide cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with strict safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
The APG Sr. Project Manager will manage the full scope of large electrical projects. This includes developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans. The role requires coordination with stakeholders such as owners, general contractors, engineers, architects, and vendors. The manager will oversee contract administration, change order management, procurement, and risk mitigation activities. Monitoring project financial performance, including cost controls, billing, cash flow, and profitability, is a core duty. Regular project meetings and executive-level reporting will keep leadership informed of status and issues.
Ensuring compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards is mandatory. The manager will champion safety practices to protect teams and maintain site conditions. Support for business development and participation in project pursuits may be required. Mentoring and developing junior project management staff will help strengthen team capability and execution quality over time.
Required Qualifications
The candidate must bring a minimum of eight years of experience managing electrical construction projects in the field. Experience must include directing efforts on projects valued at fifty million dollars or more through full lifecycle delivery. The manager must demonstrate the ability to coordinate labor, materials, and vendors while maintaining strict adherence to safety and electrical codes. A strong understanding of contract terms, change orders, and risk controls is necessary to protect client interests and margins.

The lead vessel is a "Near Shore Fisheries Research Vessel" used for trawls, box core sampling, bottom sampling, and water quality sampling. The vessel was ordered by the Canadian Coast Guard to replace the retiring CCGS Shark and operates from CGS Base Burlington in the Central and Arctic Region. The ship has a maximum speed near 16 knots and a cruising speed near 14 knots. Fuel capacity is about 2,848 litres, with additional water storage of 500 litres. Accommodation includes seating for ten passengers and a crew of three. This configuration supports day trips and focused research campaigns in coastal and nearshore waters.
