This position provides accounting leadership for mechanical services based in Lancaster. You own end to end financial operations for the division. Daily choices shape how partners, operations, and leadership see project reality. You guard data, challenge assumptions, and keep commitments real. Decisions you make affect billing accuracy, contract clarity, and month end reliability. You translate complex transactions into clear financial structures that stakeholders can trust. You ensure that every entry and report reflects the true cost and value of the work performed. You stand as the primary defender of financial integrity across the service division.

What you'll do
Setting the agenda for monthly close while guiding journal discipline and ledger integrity. You prepare and post entries in accordance with GAAP and support monthly, quarterly, and year end close activities. You reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank, credit card, prepaid, accrual, and fixed asset accounts with careful verification. Designing billing structures for service divisions and steering contract records toward renewal clarity and transparency. You manage service contract renewals and customer notifications while maintaining organized contract records. You assist in the preparation and distribution of service agreements in a timely and accurate manner. Generating financial narratives that help partners interpret project performance and guide strategic decisions effectively. You analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to support business decisions at multiple levels. You pull data from ERP systems and organize it into usable formats for leadership and operational teams. Building ERP workflows that automate repetitive entries and strengthen data integrity over time through thoughtful design. You work within accounting and job cost systems such as ERP and accounting software with consistent accuracy. You identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reconciliation efficiency, and reporting accuracy in every cycle. You help automate recurring tasks and assist with system clean ups, data integrity reviews, and process documentation. Reviewing compliance filings and audit packets so external reviewers encounter organized, coherent documentation without delay. You assist with sales tax compliance, filings, and reporting in full accordance with current regulations. You support external auditors and CPA firms during audits and reviews by providing organized schedules and explanations. You maintain documentation to support internal controls and compliance requirements for every engagement. Shipping insights faster by pulling operational data and translating it into usable formats for leadership review. You prepare customer billing for the Service Division, credit memos, and payment application with precision. You support collections efforts by providing documentation and account analysis to reduce outstanding balances. Partnering with field teams to align job costing, schedules, and invoicing across project lifecycles for consistency. You assist the CFO with producing annual reporting, budgets, and forecasts that reflect current operational conditions. You champion process upgrades that reduce manual effort and support consistent month end execution every time.
Requirements
You hold a high school diploma or equivalent, with an associate degree preferred for deeper accounting understanding. You bring previous accounting, accounts receivable, collections, customer service, or service administration experience to the role. You use Microsoft Office applications with strong organizational and communication skills in demanding environments. You demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in all financial documentation and reporting tasks. You are comfortable working independently while following established procedures and guidance clearly. You manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality in your work. You communicate professionally with internal teams and external partners regarding financial matters. You understand the importance of confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information appropriately. You are reliable, punctual, and committed to meeting obligations as scheduled in the operational calendar.
