JYSK is looking for a Sales Assistant to join their team at the Mereni location. What you'll do

Assist customers with product selection and provide detailed answers about available home goods and furnishings in the store.

Welcome shoppers at the entrance and guide them to the appropriate departments based on their shopping needs.

Maintain a clean and well-organized sales floor by restocking shelves, arranging merchandise, and keeping aisles clear at all times.

Process customer transactions accurately at the checkout register using the store point-of-sale system and handle cash and card payments.

Support inventory management efforts by conducting regular shelf checks and promptly reporting low-stock or out-of-stock items to the team lead.

Help with visual merchandising and display setup tasks to ensure that promotional themes and product arrangements are always current.

Collaborate with store team members to work toward daily sales targets while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Address customer questions, concerns, and feedback in a professional and courteous manner to build a positive store reputation.

Participate in both opening and closing store procedures as scheduled by the store management team on a regular basis.

Follow all company policies and guidelines related to product handling, pricing accuracy, and consistent customer service delivery standards.

Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure that incoming shipments are checked, labeled, and placed on the sales floor promptly.

Keep the checkout area tidy and ensure that all payment terminals and accessories are functioning properly throughout each shift.

Requirements

Availability for full-time work with a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and occasional shift changes as needed.

Strong verbal communication skills in Romanian, with basic English language ability considered an advantage for this role.

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as a regular part of daily duties.

A detail-oriented approach when handling financial transactions, organizing merchandise, and following store procedures without supervision nearby.

A customer-focused attitude with genuine willingness to help shoppers find the right products and solve their problems.

Previous retail or customer service experience is welcomed but not strictly required, as full training will be provided.
