Jobandtalent is seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in Spain, with a preference for candidates located in Madrid or Barcelona. As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in leveraging data to drive business decisions and enhance our platform's capabilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop predictive models and data-driven solutions that align with our strategic goals.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to extract insights from large datasets.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to identify data requirements and ensure the successful integration of data solutions into our platform.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends and patterns that can inform business strategies and improve user experience.
• Create and maintain dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders across the organization.
• Perform A/B testing and other experimental designs to evaluate the impact of product changes and features on user behavior.
• Work with data engineering teams to ensure data quality and availability for analysis, including data cleaning and preprocessing.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data science to continuously improve methodologies and practices.
• Mentor junior data scientists and provide guidance on best practices in data analysis and modeling.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to analyze customer data and optimize marketing campaigns.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to align data initiatives with overall business objectives.
• Document methodologies, processes, and findings to ensure knowledge sharing within the team.
• Contribute to the development of a data-driven culture within the organization by promoting data literacy among non-technical teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a data science role, preferably within a tech or startup environment.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, with experience in data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
• Strong understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with SQL for data querying and management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure for data storage and processing.
• Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) techniques and applications.
• Previous experience in the recruitment or HR tech industry is a plus.
• Understanding of data privacy regulations and best practices.
