About the role
JetBrains is seeking a Procurement Contract Manager to join their growing team in Amsterdam or Prague. This role centers on managing procurement contracts and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards. The Procurement Contract Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams across the organization to oversee contract lifecycles from start to finish. What you'll do
- Oversee procurement contracts from initiation through renewal and final closure stages
- Review vendor agreements carefully to ensure full alignment with company procurement standards
- Coordinate with legal teams to review contract terms and associated conditions
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all procurement-related documentation and files
- Monitor contract performance metrics and flag any potential compliance risks early
- Negotiate favorable terms with vendors to secure beneficial agreements for the company
- Support the procurement team in identifying and evaluating new potential suppliers
- Prepare detailed reports on contract status and ongoing procurement activities regularly
- Ensure timely execution of purchase orders and contract amendments without delays
- Collaborate with finance department to verify budget alignment for all contracts
- Manage contract templates and update them as organizational policies evolve over time
- Track key contractual dates including renewal deadlines and termination windows carefully
- Assist in the development of procurement strategies and long-term vendor planning initiatives
- Participate in quarterly procurement reviews and contribute to process improvement recommendations
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to internal controls and governance frameworks
- Liaise with external stakeholders to resolve contract-related questions and concerns promptly
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive procurement information and vendor pricing data at all times
- Support the annual procurement planning cycle and contribute to forecasting activities
Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement or contract management roles within a corporate environment
- Strong understanding of contract law principles and standard procurement processes and procedures
- Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously while maintaining careful attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrated through professional experience in English
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a structured corporate or business setting
- Familiarity with procurement software platforms and contract lifecycle management tools is expected
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a closely related field required
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and successfully finalize vendor agreements and contracts
- Track record of managing supplier relationships and ensuring on-time delivery of goods
- Experience with ERP systems and understanding of financial procurement workflows
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines effectively
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all contract documentation
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines
- Proactive attitude toward identifying process improvements and efficiency gains in procurement

- Experience in the software or technology industry is considered a strong advantage
- Knowledge of Dutch or Czech language skills for effective local collaboration
- Familiarity with EU procurement regulations and compliance standards is highly valued
- Previous experience managing contracts for international vendors across multiple countries and regions
