What you'll do

• Design and implement comprehensive training programs for rotary-wing flight test personnel, focusing on both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
• Conduct flight test evaluations, ensuring that all test pilots are proficient in the operation of various rotary-wing aircraft.
• Develop and maintain training materials, including manuals, presentations, and simulation scenarios tailored to rotary-wing operations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand the technical aspects of aircraft systems and incorporate this knowledge into training sessions.
• Provide constructive feedback to trainees, helping them to improve their skills and address any areas of concern in their flight performance.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in rotary-wing technology and flight testing methodologies, integrating this information into training programs.
• Facilitate ground school instruction, covering topics such as aerodynamics, flight dynamics, and systems management for rotary-wing aircraft.
• Mentor junior instructors and flight test personnel, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
• Participate in safety audits and risk assessments related to flight testing operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance instructional techniques and stay current with industry standards.
• Assist in the development of operational procedures and protocols for flight testing, ensuring they are aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Represent Bamboohr at industry conferences and seminars, sharing insights and best practices related to rotary-wing flight testing and training.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in rotary-wing flight operations, with a strong background in flight testing.
• Valid pilot license with appropriate ratings for rotary-wing aircraft.
• Previous experience as a flight instructor or in a training role is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of rotary-wing aircraft systems, performance characteristics, and flight test methodologies.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety standards related to flight operations and testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess flight performance and provide actionable feedback.
• Proficiency in using flight simulation software and other training tools relevant to rotary-wing operations.
