What you'll do

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and availability of systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support business objectives.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure operations.
• Conduct regular system audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements to enhance security and reliability.
• Develop and maintain documentation for IT processes, procedures, and infrastructure configurations to ensure clarity and compliance.
• Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, addressing their IT-related inquiries and issues promptly and effectively.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure that Bamboohr remains competitive and innovative in its IT practices.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution, ensuring that systems can be restored quickly in the event of a failure.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure that IT services meet organizational needs and performance standards.
• Analyze system logs and performance metrics to identify potential issues before they impact operations, implementing proactive measures as necessary.
• Train and mentor junior IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure management or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, server management, and virtualization technologies.
• Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux.
• Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their integration into existing infrastructure.
• Familiarity with security best practices and tools for protecting IT assets.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate) are a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to streamline operations.
• Knowledge of database management systems and data backup solutions.
