What you'll do

• Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft systems and components to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on various aircraft types, adhering to manufacturer specifications and regulatory guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, utilizing advanced tools and techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Document all maintenance activities in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize aircraft downtime.
• Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
• Stay current with industry regulations, safety standards, and technological advancements to ensure compliance and improve maintenance practices.
• Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge in aircraft maintenance and repair.

Requirements

• Valid AME M1 license with a minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
• Proven experience working with various aircraft types, particularly in a commercial aviation environment.
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety standards, including Transport Canada regulations.
• Proficient in using maintenance tracking software and electronic documentation systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by operational demands.

Nice to have

• Experience with specific aircraft types such as Bombardier or Airbus models.
• Additional certifications in specialized areas such as avionics or structures.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems and electronic logbooks.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within an aviation maintenance environment.

Skills & tools

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics related to aircraft systems.
• Knowledge of basic electrical and hydraulic systems in aircraft.
