About the role
This Quality Management Coordinator position in Vergiate represents a critical operational role within the IRCA Group quality framework. You will own the end-to-end coordination of quality control procedures across the production floor, ensuring that every batch meets the strictest standards. The role requires a disciplined professional who can translate customer specifications into actionable checkpoints for the manufacturing team. You will serve as the primary interface between production activities and quality compliance requirements. A core part of this position is driving continuous improvement by analyzing process data and identifying opportunities for enhancement. What you'll do
- Coordinate incoming material verification activities to ensure raw ingredients align with predefined specifications prior to staging.
- Design, implement, and maintain documentation templates that accurately capture process parameters, test outcomes, and operational metrics.
- Execute defined sampling plans during production runs, recording outcomes systematically and escalating deviations immediately when measurements exceed acceptable thresholds.
- Harmonize testing schedules with laboratory personnel to facilitate timely batch release and support customer dispatch requirements.
- Map cross-departmental workflow steps, identify potential handoff risks, and propose standardized controls to strengthen process reliability.
- Conduct regular review routines to verify the accuracy of calibration records, the completeness of maintenance logs, and the validity of environmental monitoring data.
- Maintain detailed records of customer specifications, tracking changes and interpretations across project lifecycles to ensure traceability.
- Collaborate with external inspectors and certification bodies by preparing documentation and evidence packages that support audits and certification renewals.
- Monitor quality metrics and generate reports that provide visibility into performance trends for management review.
- Champion a proactive quality culture by coaching production staff on standards, procedures, and the importance of compliance.
- Ensure all quality control activities adhere to internal standards, customer specifications, and relevant regulatory obligations.
- Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address non-conformities and prevent recurrence.
- Liaise with production leadership to align quality objectives with operational targets and capacity planning.
- Continuously evaluate process performance and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency without compromising quality.
Requirements
- Hold a minimum of three years of professional experience in quality assurance, preferably within food manufacturing or a related technical industry.
- Demonstrate solid understanding of HACCP principles, internal quality standards, and the regulatory landscape relevant to your market.
- Be comfortable using digital platforms for data entry, report compilation, and document administration in regulated environments.
- Possess fluency in Italian and English to draft procedures, reports, and communications that meet both client and auditor expectations.
- Show strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to analyze data, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
- Maintain high levels of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive operational and quality data.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team, communicating clearly with colleagues at all levels.
- Demonstrate reliability and a strong sense of ownership for assigned tasks and deadlines.
- Be willing to adapt to changing priorities and support quality initiatives as business needs evolve.
