What you'll do

• Oversee the daily operations of the site, ensuring that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety and functionality.
• Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to comply with local regulations and industry best practices, ensuring a secure environment for all stakeholders.
• Coordinate and manage events hosted at the site, working closely with various teams to ensure successful execution from planning to post-event evaluations.
• Collaborate with external vendors and partners to procure necessary services and supplies for events and site operations, negotiating contracts and managing budgets effectively.
• Monitor and report on site performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, addressing any identified hazards promptly and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Train and supervise staff on safety protocols, operational procedures, and event management best practices, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all site-related inquiries, providing exceptional customer service to visitors, clients, and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities and community organizations to promote site activities and enhance community engagement.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management, summarizing operational performance, safety compliance, and event outcomes.
• Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in site operations and safety management, integrating relevant innovations into our practices.
• Lead emergency response planning and drills, ensuring that all staff are prepared to act swiftly and effectively in case of an incident.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Safety Management, Event Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in site operations, safety management, or event coordination, preferably in a similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices, with experience in conducting safety audits and training.
• Proven track record of successfully managing events from conception to execution, with excellent organizational skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, with a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.

Nice to have

• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• Experience in a leadership role within a similar organization or industry.
• Familiarity with budgeting and financial management in an operational context.
• Knowledge of sustainability practices and initiatives related to site operations and event management.
