What you'll do

• Support the organization of events, such as pitch competitions and startup showcases, to highlight local talent and foster community engagement.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to offer up-to-date advice and resources to entrepreneurs.
• Foster a collaborative environment by encouraging peer-to-peer learning and networking among entrepreneurs and advisors.
• Document advisory sessions and outcomes to track progress and success stories, contributing to Invest Ottawa's impact reports.
• Engage with other volunteer advisors and staff to share insights, experiences, and strategies for effective mentorship.
• Promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within the community by representing Invest Ottawa at various forums and discussions.

Requirements

• A strong passion for entrepreneurship and a desire to support local businesses in their growth journey.
• Previous experience in a startup environment, small business management, or consulting is highly desirable.
