What you'll do

• Design and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure thorough coverage of software functionalities.
• Execute manual and automated testing processes to identify defects and ensure software quality before release.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to understand project requirements and provide feedback on potential issues.
• Analyze test results, document findings, and communicate defects clearly to the development team for prompt resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the overall development process and testing methodologies.
• Maintain and enhance automated testing frameworks to increase efficiency and effectiveness in testing.
• Track and report on testing progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders on quality metrics and project status.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in quality assurance and software testing to continuously improve processes.
• Assist in the development of user acceptance testing (UAT) strategies to ensure that products meet customer expectations.
• Mentor junior QA team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of quality within the team.
• Participate in sprint planning and retrospective meetings, contributing to the agile development process.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements relevant to our industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proficiency in automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation purposes.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of API testing and tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and services.
• Previous experience in a startup or tech-focused company.
• Understanding of security testing principles and practices.
