What you'll do
- Provide technical support to customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to our products and services.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product management, to identify and implement improvements based on customer feedback.
- Document service requests and resolutions in our ticketing system to maintain accurate records of customer interactions.
- Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for clients to enhance their understanding and usage of our offerings.
- Assist in the development of technical documentation, including user manuals and troubleshooting guides, to support both customers and internal teams.
- Participate in on-site installations and upgrades of equipment, ensuring compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology to provide informed recommendations to clients and enhance service offerings.
- Actively contribute to team meetings, sharing insights and suggestions for improving service processes and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and analyze service metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact for service-related inquiries.
- Provide feedback to the product development team regarding potential enhancements or new features based on customer needs and experiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a technical support or service role, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, as well as experience with diagnostic tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site support and installations as needed.
- Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software and ticketing systems is a plus.
Nice to have
- Experience with specific technologies or products relevant to Interplay's offerings.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP and VPN.
- Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and software as a service (SaaS) applications.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, particularly in a technical capacity.
- Certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA A+, etc.) are advantageous.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in using diagnostic and troubleshooting tools for both hardware and software.
- Familiarity with various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and experience with network troubleshooting.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing environments.
- Experience with documentation tools and technical writing for creating user manuals and guides.
