About the role
Infravision is looking for a Drone Quality Engineer to join their growing team in Noida. This role focuses on ensuring that drone hardware and software products meet established quality standards before they are delivered to customers. The engineer will be responsible for planning and executing quality assurance activities across the entire drone product lifecycle, from initial prototypes through final production units. They will work closely with development and operations teams to identify defects early, improve testing processes over time, and maintain reliable product performance across every batch. The position is a full-time role based at the Infravision office in Noida, with regular interaction with cross functional teams. The engineer will play a key part in upholding the company's reputation for delivering dependable and high performing drone systems to the market.

What you'll do
- Design and implement comprehensive quality assurance test plans for drone systems and subsystems
- Conduct thorough hardware and software inspections to verify compliance with product specifications
- Perform functional and performance testing on drone units in controlled laboratory environments
- Document all test results, defect reports, and quality metrics for each release cycle
- Collaborate with engineering teams to reproduce, isolate, and classify product defects accurately
- Develop and maintain detailed standard operating procedures for all quality check activities
- Participate actively in design reviews to identify potential quality risks at an early stage
- Manage, maintain, and regularly calibrate testing equipment used in drone evaluation and measurement
- Track quality trends across production runs and propose meaningful improvements to manufacturing processes
- Ensure final drone products satisfy all regulatory and customer requirements before they are shipped
- Coordinate with external suppliers to verify that incoming component quality standards are met consistently
- Lead root cause analysis sessions for recurring quality issues discovered during production
- Support the integration of new drone models into the existing quality assurance framework
- Monitor and report on quality KPIs to leadership and project stakeholders regularly
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defect rates and rework
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a closely related technical discipline
- Proven experience with quality assurance methodologies, testing frameworks, and systematic defect tracking
- Solid familiarity with drone or robotics systems and their individual component architecture
- Ability to read and accurately interpret technical drawings, schematics, and detailed product specifications
- Strong attention to detail and a disciplined, methodical approach to problem solving and analysis
- Good written and verbal communication skills for documenting and clearly reporting quality findings
- Prior experience working in a collaborative team environment with cross functional engineering roles
- Willingness to work on site at the Infravision office in Noida during standard full time business hours
- Comfort with handling electronic components, circuit boards, and drone hardware during inspection tasks
- Ability to manage multiple testing priorities and meet project deadlines in a fast paced setting
Nice to have
- Prior hands on experience in the unmanned aerial vehicle or aerospace industry
- Working knowledge of international quality standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100
- Practical experience with automated testing tools and frameworks for embedded systems development
- Familiarity with drone flight controllers, sensor modules, GPS units, and wireless communication subsystems is helpful
- Experience with statistical process control and quality data analysis using spreadsheets or databases
