Fullstack Engineer - Labrynth
Job description
Fullstack Engineer - Labrynth at Infinity Constellation.
About the role
You will be responsible for the architecture, development, and long-term health of the Labrynth platform and its associated client projects within the Infinity Constellation ecosystem. Your daily work will involve writing new features, refactoring legacy components, and ensuring the stability of the entire system stack. You will act as a key technical owner, diagnosing production incidents and implementing robust fixes that prevent recurrence in regulated environments. This role requires participation in a shared on-call rotation during standard business hours to respond to critical issues. You will collaborate closely with other engineers to design solutions that are both scalable and maintainable. A significant part of your success will be measured by your ability to communicate technical status and risk clearly to non-technical stakeholders. You will be expected to balance rapid feature delivery with the rigorous standards required for reliability and compliance.
Key facts
What you'll do
Design and implement new backend services and APIs using Python to support the core functionality of the Labrynth platform.
Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces using TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks to ensure a seamless experience for end users.
Collaborate with product managers and clients to translate business requirements into technical specifications and executable features.
Write and maintain comprehensive database schemas using relational database management systems, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.
Optimize complex database queries and indexing strategies to handle large datasets efficiently and support critical business operations.
Create and apply secure and version-controlled database migration scripts to evolve the schema without disrupting live services.
Deploy and manage applications on leading cloud platforms, utilizing containerization technologies to ensure consistency across development and production environments.
Automate the software delivery lifecycle by implementing and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines that enable frequent and reliable releases.
Structure infrastructure definitions as code to enable reproducible environments and simplify the management of cloud resources.
Analyze application logs, metrics, and traces to troubleshoot live system issues and identify the root cause of failures quickly.
Formulate and test hypotheses regarding system behavior, isolating variables to verify solutions and improve system reliability.
Implement a testing strategy that matches the risk profile of changes, prioritizing small, reversible deployments that minimize potential impact.
Document technical processes and system behaviors to provide clear context during incident response and for the benefit of the wider team.
Communicate effectively in writing during high-pressure situations, providing concise updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
A minimum of 2 to 5 years of professional experience developing and managing web applications in a production environment.
Demonstrate professional proficiency in Python and TypeScript, or a strong command of one language with practical experience in the other.
Possess a solid understanding of relational database concepts, including schema design, query optimization, and safe migration practices.
Have hands-on experience with a leading cloud platform, containerization technologies, CI/CD processes, and infrastructure as code methodologies.
Show the ability to troubleshoot live systems using log analysis, hypothesis formation, cause isolation, and solution verification.
Apply a systematic approach to testing that aligns with the risk associated with changes, favoring small, reversible deployments.
Exhibit excellent written communication skills, particularly when providing updates during high-pressure situations or incidents.
Show strong decision-making skills, balancing the need for quick fixes against the benefits of long-term, sustainable solutions.
Be comfortable engaging directly with clients as part of a forward-deployed team to ensure their needs are met effectively and expectations are managed.
Nice to have
Experience with structured on-call rotations and formal incident management processes to ensure timely and effective responses.
Familiarity with background job processing systems, message queues, or event-driven architectures to handle asynchronous workloads.
Experience in taking over and stabilizing existing systems to enhance their performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Knowledge of security and compliance considerations in regulated industries such as energy, government, healthcare, or finance.
Understanding of LLM-backed features and their operational implications for system design and performance.
A background in consulting, agency work, or roles that involve managing client relationships and expectations.
Practical notes
This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within the LATAM region. The incident duty is shared among team members during standard business hours, with a structured escalation process for after-hours issues that is recognized and compensated. Infinity-constellation provides a modern AI-native development environment, fostering innovation and efficiency in your work.
