Founder's Associate Intern
Job description
About the role
Founder's Associate Intern
Impossible Cloud operates at the intersection of high-performance infrastructure and emerging AI demands. As a rapidly expanding B2B entity based in Hamburg, Germany, the company has established a robust object storage solution engineered to rival AWS S3. This platform is specifically architected for AI and compute-intensive workloads. The organization's aggressive commercial expansion is driven by a channel-first go-to-market strategy. Looking forward, Impossible Cloud is building a high-performance compute platform to deliver an end-to-end solution from GPU hardware to its software stack. This initiative seeks to bridge decentralized infrastructure (DePIN), standard B2B cloud applications, and AI workloads, thereby redefining the cloud ecosystem. Further information regarding the company is available on its official channels.
This internship places you at the heart of this evolution. You will work directly with the founders on the company's most critical strategic priorities. Your responsibilities will involve supporting the scaling of a category-defining infrastructure business designed to challenge established hyperscalers. You will gain direct insight into high-velocity decision-making and observe the construction of a high-growth technology company from its core. The role involves active participation in shaping storage and compute platforms that serve demanding AI environments.
The position is located in Hamburg. The engagement is structured as an intern role. The compensation for this role is 22 EUR per hour.
Your daily responsibilities will involve orchestrating intake procedures to define project scope and align objectives for new initiatives. You will establish the foundational architecture for the compute platform, including configuring environments and preparing essential tooling. Conducting design reviews to validate architectural choices and identify potential risks before implementation is a core duty. You will coordinate cross-functional review sessions, integrate stakeholder feedback, and refine deliverables to ensure production readiness. Preparing deployment packages and associated documentation to transition features from staging to live infrastructure is required. You will initiate and manage communication with external collaborators, clarify technical requirements, and maintain consistent information flows. Mapping the dependencies between storage services and compute components will fall within your scope to ensure smooth data and control flow. You will also support partner-related activities, resolve technical inquiries, and help sustain strong professional relationships.
To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate experience in technology roles spanning three years. This experience should provide a practical understanding of how complex systems are operated in production environments. Legal authorization to work in Germany is mandatory. You must be currently enrolled in a study program and able to commit to the full duration of the internship. A foundational familiarity with object storage concepts and cloud infrastructure is necessary to quickly grasp platform details. Comfort with command line tools, editing configuration files, and reviewing technical documentation is essential for success in this role.
Supplementary qualifications include working knowledge of GPU computing, AI infrastructure paradigms, or DePIN principles. These skills are beneficial but not mandatory for the position.
Key tools and concepts central to this role include Impossible Cloud, AWS S3, object storage, GPU infrastructure, DePIN, and a channel-first strategy. Mastery of these areas will enable effective contribution to the company's objectives.
