About the role
This leadership position oversees the integration of Organizational Effectiveness Consulting and HR Operations into a unified Employee Experience function. You will drive a strategy focused on employee self-service, digital transformation, and operational rigor to improve organizational health and productivity. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing change and developing scalable programs for learning, engagement, and HR service delivery. You will act as a strategic partner to the executive team, aligning people initiatives with business objectives to foster a high-performance culture. The position demands a blend of consultant-level insight and operational discipline to remove friction from the employee journey. Success in this role will be defined by your ability to modernize how employees access information, develop skills, and engage with the company. You will own the end-to-end employee lifecycle, ensuring that policies, tools, and experiences are designed for clarity, efficiency, and impact.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Lead and integrate the Org Effectiveness Consultants and HR Operations teams into a single department.
- Define the strategic vision for HR tools and processes, prioritizing self-service as the primary interaction model.
- Act as an advisor to executive leadership regarding culture, workforce effectiveness, and organizational health.
- Manage the enterprise learning strategy, including onboarding, leadership development, and internal mobility.
- Oversee the employee listening program, including pulse, lifecycle, and engagement surveys.
- Drive HR digital transformation, automation, and compliance across all systems and transactions.
- Utilize workforce analytics to identify trends and build actionable dashboards for executive stakeholders.
- Own the design and governance of the employee experience roadmap from ideation to implementation.
- Partner with IT and Security to ensure that all HR systems meet technical standards and data privacy requirements.
- Establish clear policies and procedures that standardize HR operations while improving the employee interface.
- Develop metrics frameworks to measure the success of employee experience initiatives and learning programs.
- Lead cross-functional projects that break down silos between HR, People Operations, and business units.
- Curate internal communications and change management campaigns to support new ways of working.
- Identify gaps in current learning and development offerings and recommend improvements based on data.
- Serve as the central point of contact for HR technology vendors and process owners.
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive HR experience, covering both consulting/enablement and operational/transactional functions.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing teams, including leading other leaders or senior individual contributors.
- Proven track record of leading major change initiatives that successfully implemented self-service models.
- Deep understanding of HR compliance requirements and operational risk management.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive adoption of new processes across an organization.
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets and P&L responsibility in a people operations context.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and regulations as they apply to a US-based workforce.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills at the executive level.

- Experience with HR technology ecosystems such as Absorb, Cornerstone, or Workday Learning.
- Familiarity with employee listening platforms like Culture Amp, Glint, or Qualtrics.
- Experience with AI-enabled HR technologies and workflow automation.
- Background in both HR consulting and shared services environments.
- Experience working within tech-forward or engineering-heavy organizations.
