What you'll do

• Design and implement graph database solutions tailored to meet specific business requirements, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with data architects and engineers to integrate graph databases with existing data systems and workflows.
• Analyze and optimize existing graph database queries and structures to improve efficiency and reduce latency.
• Develop and maintain documentation for graph database architecture, processes, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing across the team.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops for team members and stakeholders to enhance understanding of graph database technologies and their applications.
• Monitor and troubleshoot graph database performance issues, providing timely resolutions to maintain system integrity and availability.
• Work closely with product management to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for graph database projects.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in graph database technologies, evaluating their potential impact on Bamboohr's offerings.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of high-quality, maintainable code in line with industry standards.

• Assist in the migration of legacy systems to modern graph database solutions, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Provide insights and recommendations on the selection of graph database tools and technologies that align with Bamboohr's strategic goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with graph databases, such as Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of graph data modeling, query languages (e.g., Cypher, Gremlin), and graph algorithms.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable graph database architectures for enterprise-level applications.
• Familiarity with data integration techniques and tools, including ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-based graph database services, such as Azure Cosmos DB or Google Cloud Datastore.
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their application within graph databases.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, particularly in the context of data processing.
• Previous experience in a DevOps environment, including CI/CD practices and tools.
• Understanding of security best practices related to database management and data privacy regulations.
