What you'll do

• Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of energy projects, ensuring they align with Bamboohr's strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and project management, to facilitate project execution.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess compliance with safety regulations and energy efficiency standards.
• Develop and implement energy management strategies that optimize resource use and reduce operational costs.
• Analyze energy consumption data to identify trends and recommend improvements for energy efficiency.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, regarding energy projects.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on project status, energy savings, and compliance metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
• Train and mentor junior staff on energy management practices and safety protocols to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technologies to ensure Bamboohr remains at the forefront of energy innovation.
• Participate in the development of proposals and bids for new energy projects, ensuring alignment with company capabilities and market demands.
• Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within financial constraints.
• Implement and monitor energy conservation programs that promote sustainability and reduce the company's carbon footprint.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in energy management or a related field, with a proven track record of successful project management.
• Strong knowledge of energy regulations, sustainability practices, and energy efficiency technologies.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship in all aspects of work.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation.
• Experience with renewable energy technologies, such as solar or wind energy systems.
• Familiarity with energy auditing and benchmarking practices.
• Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within the energy sector.
• Knowledge of energy market trends and regulatory changes that impact energy management strategies.

Skills & tools

• Strong proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, including Excel and energy management software.
• Familiarity with building management systems and energy monitoring technologies.
• Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Practical notes

• This position is based in Sparks, Nevada, and may require occasional travel to project sites.
