About the role
Huntelectric is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Electrical Superintendent to join our team in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. This full-time position is crucial for overseeing electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards of safety and quality. What you'll do
- Supervise and lead electrical installation projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring that all work is completed on schedule and within financial constraints.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to develop comprehensive project plans and schedules.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress, quality, and safety standards, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
- Provide technical guidance and support to electricians and apprentices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Review and approve project documentation, including plans, specifications, and change orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations.
- Prepare and submit reports on project status, including progress updates, budget tracking, and resource allocation.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed on-site, conducting safety meetings and training sessions as necessary.
- Assist in the recruitment and training of new electrical staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues that may arise during the project lifecycle, utilizing problem-solving skills and technical expertise.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance project outcomes and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Valid electrical superintendent license in Colorado or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Proven experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse workforce.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Proficient in using project management software and tools for tracking progress and managing resources.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Nice to have
- Experience with renewable energy systems, such as solar or wind power, is a plus.
- Familiarity with advanced electrical technologies, including smart grid systems and energy management solutions.
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial electrical projects.
- Certification in project management (PMP or similar) is advantageous.
- Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish, can enhance communication with diverse teams.
