What you'll do

• Collaborate with department heads to determine hiring needs and develop tailored job descriptions that accurately reflect the requirements and responsibilities of each position.
• Utilize various sourcing techniques, including social media, job boards, and networking events, to attract a diverse pool of candidates.
• Conduct thorough candidate screenings through phone interviews, assessing qualifications, experience, and cultural fit for Huntelectric.
• Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
• Manage the applicant tracking system (ATS) to maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and progress throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with candidates, providing them with timely updates and feedback throughout the hiring process.
• Participate in job fairs and recruitment events to promote Huntelectric as an employer of choice and engage with potential candidates.
• Analyze recruitment metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement in the hiring process and implement best practices.
• Collaborate with the HR team to enhance onboarding processes, ensuring new hires have a positive experience from day one.
• Stay updated on industry trends and labor market conditions to inform recruitment strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
• Assist in developing and implementing employer branding initiatives to attract top talent and promote Huntelectric's values and culture.
• Provide training and support to hiring managers on effective interviewing techniques and best practices in candidate selection.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate recruiting or talent acquisition, preferably in the construction or electrical industry.
• Proven track record of successfully filling a variety of positions, from entry-level to management roles.
• Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and employment laws.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and hiring managers alike.
• Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive candidate information.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Nice to have

• Experience with employer branding and recruitment marketing strategies.
• Familiarity with construction or electrical industry-specific recruitment challenges.
• Certification in HR or recruitment (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar).
• Knowledge of diversity and inclusion best practices in recruitment.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting to drive recruitment decisions.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with recruitment software and tools, including LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and Glassdoor.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret recruitment metrics and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent negotiation skills to facilitate job offers and salary discussions.
• Ability to craft compelling job postings and marketing materials that attract candidates.
