About the role
Hootsuite is looking for a Senior Incentives Systems Analyst to join their team in Mumbai or Pune, Maharashtra. This role focuses on managing and optimizing the company's incentive compensation systems to ensure accurate and timely payouts. The analyst will work closely with finance and HR teams to support compensation planning and reporting. What you'll do
Administer and maintain the company's incentive compensation systems and related databases.
Collaborate with finance and HR teams to process monthly and quarterly incentive calculations.
Analyze incentive plan data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
Support the design and implementation of new incentive programs and plan changes.
Generate reports and dashboards to track incentive payouts and plan performance.
Ensure data accuracy by performing regular audits of incentive system records.
Work with external vendors to manage system integrations and data feeds.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to incentive calculations, payout discrepancies, and system configurations.
Document standard operating procedures for incentive system workflows, approval processes, and change management.
Participate in cross-functional projects related to compensation technology, data management, and system enhancements.
Assist with annual incentive plan budgeting and quarterly forecasting activities.
Provide training and guidance to team members on incentive system usage.
Coordinate with payroll teams to verify incentive calculations before final disbursement.
Maintain documentation of incentive plan rules, eligibility criteria, and governance policies.
Monitor incentive plan budgets, actual spending, and variances to ensure all payouts stay within approved limits and governance standards.
Serve as a subject matter expert for incentive system changes, upgrades, and all related technical documentation and release notes.
Review and validate incentive plan eligibility for all participating employees on a regular cycle.
Support annual incentive plan design reviews with leadership and external advisory teams.
Maintain a library of incentive plan documentation, including plan summaries, eligibility guides, and FAQ materials.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related quantitative field required.
Minimum of five years of experience in compensation, incentives, or rewards administration.
Proven experience working with incentive compensation systems and related databases.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data manipulation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholder interactions.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Attention to detail and a methodical approach to data quality and accuracy.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional and remote teams.
Familiarity with incentive plan governance, audit trails, and compliance documentation standards.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently on complex analyses.
Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and perform complex data analysis.
Experience with change management and communicating system updates to end users across the organization.

Experience with enterprise-level HR or compensation technology platforms and systems.
Knowledge of variable pay structures, sales incentive plan design, and administration.
