What you'll do

• Lead and supervise construction teams, ensuring that all members are working efficiently and safely on-site.
• Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring that timelines are met while maintaining quality standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure that materials and services are delivered on time and meet project specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and making adjustments as necessary to stay within financial constraints.
• Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to provide updates on project status and address any concerns.
• Resolve any issues that arise during the construction process, utilizing problem-solving skills to find effective solutions.
• Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with company policies and industry best practices, maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
• Mentor and train junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or a related field, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations, particularly in the South Carolina region.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
• Proficient in project management software and tools, with a solid understanding of budgeting and financial management.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as needed.

Nice to have

• A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
