What you'll do
- Develop and implement quality assurance protocols to ensure that all products meet regulatory standards and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for improvement in manufacturing processes, aiming to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of production facilities to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Analyze production data and quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, presenting findings to senior management.
- Lead training sessions for staff on quality control procedures and best practices, fostering a culture of quality within the organization.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure that raw materials meet quality specifications and are delivered on time.
- Coordinate with the R&D team to ensure that new products are developed with quality considerations in mind from the outset.
- Manage customer feedback and complaints related to product quality, implementing corrective actions as necessary to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics and operational performance for management review.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact quality standards and operational practices.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to quality management systems, ensuring that all records are accurate and up to date.
- Foster a collaborative environment where cross-functional teams can work together to achieve quality and operational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Operations Management, Quality Assurance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management or quality assurance, preferably within the herbal or natural products industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements related to herbal products.
- Proven experience in process improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Certification in Quality Management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager or similar).
- Experience with ERP systems and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in manufacturing and product development.
- Previous experience in the herbal or dietary supplement industry.
