What you'll do
- Oversee the receipt of incoming goods, ensuring that all products meet quality standards and are accurately documented.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to schedule deliveries and manage any discrepancies in shipments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, utilizing warehouse management systems to track stock levels and movements.
- Implement and monitor processes for efficient handling of goods, including proper storage and organization within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to conduct inspections of incoming products, addressing any issues promptly.
- Analyze data related to incoming goods to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in the logistics process.
- Train and supervise warehouse staff on best practices for receiving goods and maintaining safety standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and logistics partners to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in the preparation of reports related to inventory levels, order fulfillment, and supplier performance.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing warehouse operations and reducing costs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies regarding health and safety in the workplace.
- Act as a point of contact for any inquiries related to incoming goods and logistics operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and external partners.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality control in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to warehouse operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on data analysis.
Nice to have

- Previous experience in the food industry or perishable goods logistics.
- Fluency in German and English, both spoken and written.
