What you'll do
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts by analyzing sales trends, historical data, and market conditions to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, and production teams to align supply plans with business objectives and customer expectations.
- Monitor inventory levels across multiple locations, ensuring that stock is available when needed while minimizing excess inventory.
- advanced planning software and tools to create and manage supply plans, adjusting as necessary based on changing demand patterns.
- Identify potential supply chain disruptions and proactively implement strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring continuity of supply.
- Conduct regular reviews of supplier performance, analyzing lead times, quality, and cost to ensure that we are working with the best partners.
- Prepare and present reports on inventory status, supply chain performance, and demand forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.
- Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving supply chain efficiency and reducing costs, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in supply chain management, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Train and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment within the supply planning team.
- Engage with external partners and suppliers to negotiate terms and conditions that align with our strategic goals.
- Support the implementation of new technologies and processes that enhance supply chain operations and improve overall efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, or a similar role, preferably within the food or consumer goods industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with demand forecasting techniques and inventory optimization strategies.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to think critically under pressure.
Nice to have
- Experience in the food industry or a similar fast-paced sector.
- Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies and their application in supply chain processes.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in supply chain management.
- Advanced Excel skills, including experience with data modeling and analysis.
- Previous experience working in an international or multicultural environment.
